ALL DONE!!!

It's done... it looks so good and smells great too. Mom is happy her garden is
planted... we had a fun day, it's time for Ana Maria to go back home...
DO YOU HAVE TO GO HOME?

TALK TO THE HAND!!

Today when we were eating lunch, we started doing the "talk to the hand thing" and I guess it stuck...

Mom made her own word for it, but like many jokes if you translate them is not funny at all, so I won't try, but it was funny!

It looks like Dad is saying...
what am I going to do with these crazy girls, or something like that!
Ana Maria, is taking the pictures and making funny faces and sounds to makes us laugh : )

I love this picture, can you tell how much fun we had... We did!! as usual we were laughing the whole time.

MOM'S GARDEN

We planted beets, carrots, green beans, onions, swiss chard, summer squash, zuchinni... the tomatoes are next, it's going to be soooo YUMMY!!

PLANTING THE GARDEN...

Today Ana Maria came to spend the day with Mom, Dad and I... after she helped them with things inside the house, we went to Chili's for lunch and then we got to work, planting the garden... now it's all planted except for the tomatoes... YES!!!
Thank You Ia!

Before driving home on Sunday... after having lunch with friends, celebrating Bryan's birthday.

DO I HAVE TO GO HOME? : )

Bryan and Ana Maria and their friends Bill and Robin...
They came for lunch on Sunday, it was fun to get to know them a little better...

LOVE THAT VIEW !
It's May 3rd and look at all that snow still. On the left of the cabin on the far right we could see Bryan's and Ana Maria's cabin between the trees...
Remember you can enlarge the picture by clicking on it.

Would you be my neighbor...

I had such a good time in Marysvale...
we took funny pictures and Ana Maria is much more graceful even when she's been silly so I am posting hers : )
This picture reminds me of how much we laughed this weekend, we laughed until our bellies ached, it was great!
On Sunday we had a yummy lunch to celebrate Bryan's b-day... thanks for letting me come crash the party! Love you guys!

it's still there...

After the retreat, Ana Maria and I went to see our place... well it's still there and ready for us to get going with it again. Maybe next weekend.
We had fun taking silly pictures and enjoying the sunny but cool weather, just perfect!!!

"ENGLISH HIGH TEA"

We had an
"English High Tea Luncheon"
it was wonderful!
Erin Jensen in pink is a good friend of my sister, she also writes for e'lan magazine... she is a lot of fun!
Erin with the help of other ladies in Marysvale prepared this wonderful Luncheon.

Eating chocolate cake and homemade
ice cream in our pj's so fun!

We had a yummie dinner at the
"Old Pine Inn" everything was delicious, but I could have eaten
that spinach salad Katie made all night... here is the recipe in case you want to try it.
~katie's Spinach Salad~
Spinach (1 bag)
Red Onion
Sliced Mushrooms (1 pkg)
Feta Cheese (regular) 1 cup
Shredded Swiss Cheese, 1 cup
Crumbled Bacon (1/2 lb. per bag of spinach, about 10 strips)
~Dressing~
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp. poppy seeds
1/8 tsp. ground mustard
Pour over salad right before serving.
Katie's used 3 bags of spinach for a group of 20 +
The onion and mushroom is up to you, but she used 1/2 of large onion on the
large salad. This salad doesn't keep well, but I doubt that would ever be a
problem, we all had seconds, and thirds... Yum!

What I did last weekend....

My cute "little big sister" : ) invited me to spend the weekend with them so I could go with her to this really fun event in Marysvale... e'lan magazine put together this "escape" with fun activities, very interesting classes and great food for Friday and Saturday.
I really enjoyed it. We laughed, hugged and learned a lot... thank you Ia, what a great gift, I loved it!!
